Data Disclosure Requests

Metaregistrar BV is committed to transparency and compliance with local and international regulation. This section outlines our process for submitting Disclosure Requests under Section 10 of the ICANN registration data policy.

What Is a Data Disclosure Request?

A Disclosure Request is a formal inquiry to disclose nonpublic registration data associated with a domain name registered through Metaregistrar. These requests can be sent by:

  • Law enforcement agenciy
  • Consumer protection authority
  • Intellectual property rights holder
  • Other entities with a legitimate legal basis

Submission Requirements

To submit a Data Disclosure Request, please provide the following:

  • Legal basis for the request
  • Identification of the requestor (name, organization, jurisdiction)
  • Specific domain name(s) involved
  • Purpose of the request and how the data will be used
  • Requested data elements (e.g., registrant name, email, phone)
  • Supporting documentation, if applicable (e.g., complaint, evidence, legal mandate)

  • We accept attachments in .PDF, .DOC(X), .TXT, or .CSV formats
  • Total email size must not exceed 30MB.
  • No fees are charged for processing Data Disclosure Requests

Jurisdiction and Legal Review

Requests are evaluated under Dutch law, EU data protection regulations, and ICANN’s contractual specifications. Metaregistrar responds to Disclosure Requests via email to the address provided by the requester, unless another method is agreed upon.

Response Time

We aim to review and respond within 5 workdays of receipt. If additional time is needed, we will notify the requester.

Flexible procedure

Our dunning service can remind customers via e-mail, letter or text message.

Each message sent is highly customizable in your look and feel, and to comply with local law.

Collection agency

If every reminder fails, our dunning can activate a collection agency to get your invoice paid. Our collection agency has information on millions of consumers and companies, and knows their payment profile.

Callbacks

You want to know the status of the payment of your invoice. Our system can call your system back, not only when a payment is made, but on every step of the way.
